Notes, Sources and Abbreviations

Austin Dispatches derives its primary styles, spellings and definitions from the Associated Press Stylebook and Libel Manual, 33rd ed., except where otherwise noted. General spelling derives from Webster's New World College Dictionary, 3rd ed., unless otherwise noted. Endnote format, including abbreviations, generally derives from the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 5th ed., unless the The Chicago Manual of Style, 14th ed., works better.
